Breathtaking: a wow multimedia story

I’m still struggling with how to bring all the pieces of a story together powerfully in an interesting multimedia format online. Here’s a great story from the Toronto Star: great images, a tightly written story piece so beautifully voiced (by the writer!) that it made me swoon and great orginlal music.

This is something you can’t get on TV or in the newspaper. It has mood and feeling and texture and a story too.

I was just about to send you a link to this piece. All I can say is, WOW! Beautiful noir photography, writing and music. This raises the bar and sets a new precedent in storytelling for the web.

Very impressive - I find it interesting that not only this story but the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography story were displayed using B&W images. http://www.sacbee.com/static/newsroom/swf/april07/mother/
I guess old school will never die (thank heavens). The use of music and audio adds so much more to in depth story telling. I find it interesting to hear that you need to be pushed off the edge of the chair too.

    stay safe - Philip
